Well it's been a hectic month, what with establishign a minor presence for my other comics and even losing my domain name for a short while.... but I'm glad this page is finally done! This actually marks the conclusion of Gordon's part of the volume, you know.

And! My new forum should be working fine now, post on it! Easier then using that tiny shout box. I wish someone had bloody told me that people couldn't post on it before a little sooner! Comments and criticisms are the lifeblood of a vivacious art you know.

Well it's been quite a month! I've been temping in an office as a credit controller, and it's been very long hours but I'll update lots now. This time I'm not even lying I think! This is a more subtle page, but one I'm actually very proud of, came out lovely.

This page was brought to you by a half-bottle of cheap brandy and a few snoots of port. The little bottle just seemed to go down before I even noticed it was there, and that's how they went down way back when; I used to drink enough to worry myself somewhat, so I think I'll cut down a little. I will never forget just how easy it is to count your nights in a bottle of this or a bottle of that.

Well, on the off-chance I still have any readers left here's an update, whoo! I finally have stable internet access back! I hope I've not been keeping people on tenderhooks too long... Anyway, I did this page in one long marathon session and my back is killing me, I have to hold my position rigid while I'm drawing and it takes a lot of energy. Time for a drink!

Normally I'd probably take a little longer before leaping into the next page, but I decided to treat myself with one of those occasional pages I do that's completely mental. I love this sort of thing, I can obsess for hours over a few extra hues and tints.

On the 10th of this month I fly back to England, hurrah! In other news, Swap Week is now officially over, and who guessed which comic I did a swap for? It was immense fun, I want to do more guest comics and such, it's great practice for me too. In other news, it appears that GFTC has finally encountered a situation for which his mind simply has no response.

An improver is me! I looked over some of my old strips from vol. 1 the other day, and nearly stabbed out my eyes. What was I drawing with, a blunt twig? Oh well. I'm still publishing vol. 1, but I need to find a different publishing group because the one I was going with are taking forever to even answer. I'm going to look into lulu.com later today.

Well we've got The Wife's passport sorted out, just wading through a little paperwork now. Should be home in England by mid-September!

Yeah I know what I said before, but this page took a lot out of me, and it took a long while to figure it all out. Besides which, I am sad! Me and The Wife want to come back to England, we were a lot happier there. I'm in the middle of making the arrnagements now. In effect, we've had a four month honeymoon in Florida, which is nice, but we're buggering off home now!

Sometimes the pages just flow out naturally without much effort, and sometimes they are a real struggle. This one was bloody hard to do, for several reasons. It might seem like a really simple layout but it took as long as any, and the subject matter was a little close to home there, too.

Florida hasn't been easy on me... yeah it fried my brain a little I guess. But now I know how to drive a tractor mower, lay a patio and change the brake pads on a Toyota Camry, so it's a learning experience. I have been out of touch for over a week, largely because as soon as I set down in Florida I came down with the most horrible flu- my fever only just broke yesterday! I have come to a decision! I want to do more Minions of the Week, trouble is I'm just about run out of people to do who I actually know anything about- I try to capture the look and personality of someone when I draw them. And so from now on, if you want to be a Minion you have to request it on the Forum, and provide me some kindof a clue as to how to portray you! This will make things much easier for me, and should be a lot of fun. Do it! Do it now!

Man am I tired. I work and work, makin page after page, and where is the fame? Where the glory? Today I happened upon another webcomic, one of those gaming ones where all they do is make fun of some game or other every day. It's only been out a year yet appears to have way more readers. Why! Why! I strain to stretch myself artistically, I produce broad swathes of art with passion and vigour! And yet here I am eclipsed by three panel gags with cut-and-paste talking heads. Oh the injustice! I don't get fan mail you know. I don't even get hate mail!

All I wanted, when I started this, was to impress the little lady, and also to CRUSH other comics into THE VERY DIRT! And be WORSHIPPED by legions of ADORING MASSES!

I am excited and nervous- tomorrow I have to have my medical which is part of getting a visa to go to Florida, where my little lady awaits. The only problem is I have to go to London... I hate London.

Behold! Pretty nice, huh? The new site layout is just about done, and I am quietly proud. Understated, moody and more then a little modernist, I like it! In mere moments we shall steam ahead into Volume Two of Pinch, but in the meantime you can still read through Volume One, found on the archive page. In time a book will be made available for you to buy containing everything in Volume One and lots of extra bits, at which point the archive will be removed! I only have so much space for this stuff you know.

For the time being I just need to figure out how to make everything work... at least there should be no more irritating popups now! I hope!
