What I Will Need To Know

Terms of Commission

1) Commission are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Not all commissions will necessarily be accepted, depending on what is being asked and the current workload. I reserve the right to cancel any commission and return any funds that have been paid up until that point.

2) Upon request I will provide a sketch of a piece before finishing it so that we can agree on any revisions needed. However, once an image is fully coloured it is unlikely that further changes will be possible. I will do my best to accomodate requests for cosmetic changes, but once the piece is finished then that is essentially what you get. If the client starts asking for continual re-sketches, then I reserve the right to cancel the commission if it looks like it isn't going to work out.

3) The buyer should be aware that they aren't just paying for the art itself but for the time and effort it takes to create it.

4) The description that I am given will form the foundation of the finished work, so it is very important that the desription be as detailed as possible. I like to sit down with a client and discuss what they want in depth and ultimately the better a description you can give me, the better the final image will match what you want. I will work with a very small or vague description if you want me to, but then you have to accept that I will fill in the blanks as I see fit.

5) If you are buying art for somebody else, such as a friend, remember that it is still you who are doing the buying and the friend can't come up to me later asking for revisions.

6) The kind of work I do is there to see in my gallery, and if you commission me that is what you'll be getting. Do not request that art be done in a radically different style to my own as that isn't going to happen.

7) I am perfectly happy to provide the sketch-level of a piece for a buyer to look over to their satisfaction, but for obvious reasons the final lineart and coloured work will not be provided until payment is recieved.

Commission Price-List

Sketch: This is a rough image good for concept work but not as sharp as fully polished lineart.

Price: $10+ depending on the complexity involved.

Lineart: This is fully cleaned up black and white work that is of a high quality, suitable for pieces where colour is not an issue or where it is to be added later.

Price: $15+ depending on the complexity involved.

Fully Coloured Bust: A picture of a character from the chest up, smaller then a full body art but of equivalent quality, suitable for use where space is an issue and a smaller image is more appropriate.

Price: $25, more if a particularly detailed background were required.

Full Body Art: This is a full image as seen on the Gallery, 700x900 pixels or greater in size and fully coloured. This is a highly descriptive art piece which can contain as much or as little detail as required. These pieces generally focus on the character in the foreground with little background distraction.

Price: $35+ depending on the complexity involved.

Detailed Background: Add $15.

Extra People in Shot: Add $20 per person shown to the same level of detail as the central character.

What I Will Need To Know

When you contact me I am perfectly happy to sit down and talk through what you wold like, or else if you prefer please feel free to send me an email. The following information is what I need to produce good work for you-

Character Name (If you want it to be seen on the final art),

Gender (surprising how often people forget this),

Species (bespecific if there is somethign unusal that you want to emphasise about them),

Visible marking, tattoos, piercings, clothing etc.

Body Type (E.g. muscular, slender, very "anthro", human-looking, any important features),

Also, I need to know a little about the personality I am trying to get across. Are they angry or sad? Sexy? Powerful? Little details like this make a huge difference to the final look, they are very useful to me.
